Edcamp Vancouver is essentially an experiment. It has worked in other areas, but we don't know if this model of professional development will accomplish our goals. We do know that professional development overall in British Columbia is lagging behind other areas of the world, and is in need of improvement.

This session is intended to start a conversation about different professional development models and explore options for future professional development in British Columbia.

I'll Be There

We run a unique professional development program that is individualized for each teacher and is facilitated by one to one meetings twice a month with our administration team. I would be happy to be part of the conversation and share our model.

Self-Directed Pro D

I'm also interested in models used to enhance professional growth and how these models honour self-directed pursuits for educators.
