Moodle (moodle.org) is a powerful open source learning management system that is widely used across BC by teachers on their own, individual schools, and school districts. The BC Learning Network (bclearningnetwork.com) is a consortium of school districts which support the collaborative development of course materials on the moodle platform primarily focused at DL programs.

I volunteer as a Development Leader with the BC Learning Network and would be willing to share my experience and knowledge of the available course material and the moodle platform if there are  participates who are interested in this topic.

Thanks for offering to share your experience. I definitely want to learn more about this system and its capabilities.

Join the Conversation

I'll be happy to join the conversation and share how my school, with more than 5,500 seats, went from a proprietary system costing nearly $250K annually to moving to Moodle at a cost of about $10K annually.

Moodle is a great tool...

I've been using it for my math & sciences classes for the last four years. I'm the only teaching in my school to use it but I'd like other teacher to join me ... great tool. Would love to share, present & learn on that subject.
